Why Rwanda is the right starting point
Rwanda's health system is exceptional in the African context a progressive government, strong community health infrastructure with 58,000 CHWs, and a commitment to digital transformation.
Yet NCDs are rising rapidly. Hypertension affects 15.3% of adults; diabetes 4.9%. Most are undiagnosed. Rwanda's existing infrastructure is the perfect launchpad to prove this model works then replicate across East Africa.
